I think you have mentioned a key thing. They likely already have made allowance for a tv antenna. Your HOA rules may tell you what is allowed there. If so, I would consider mounting a j-pole there. If you want to play it safe or cut the cord, as we did, you can mount a tv antenna there (and

David, I have a hip roof so there is not much area with a vertical height of 70". I forgot about the metal AC plenum that crosses right in 'front' of the proposed antenna location. Antenna blocked! Unfortunately I was working from memory when I thought of this attic idea.  Now that I got up

Thank you for your input. All good things to know! I've researched the POA documents and find that the West Belfort POA does not forbid antennas, they just require that they be "approved". My next door neighbor has a Disk TV antenna. I will canvas the neighborhood and note all of the antennas

You can get a long masonry drill bit, it will get through the brick very easily. I agree with the below, unless its some huge antenna. I would just do it early morning and try and hide it.  If its a dipole, just keep it on the down low. The reply below has a good point. On Thursday, April

My rule of thumb is that, if I have to involve the HOA, I don’t do it. I prefer to go stealth and hope nobody notices. Sort of asking forgiveness rather than permission. Once you have their attention, you may never escape it. Mark N5PRD Sent from my iPhone > On Apr 22, 2021, at 1:39 PM,
