Take a class, CW academy, long island cw club etc. Learning with others is
the best way.

I am learning too.
I am using Morse Mania on my phone to learn to decode. I got a CW Hotline kit

You could ask ARRL if they have any experience with the lights. They have
tested laptop power supplies, breakers, doorbells, and other devices for RFI.
perhaps suggest the neighbor take them back to the seller for a refund or
exchange. A big box store got busted several ago for selling
You can use your 7300. Refer to manual, wire key plug as needed for
straight key or paddle and select that key in settings. Choose break-in
(not full break-in) set code speed to whatever (10wpm?) and mode to CW. Now
set radio to any frequency outside a ham band and it will key with sidetone
This KJ5DOB I'm new to the ham radio hobby and wanting to learn cw. I've found
a few courses to follow but don't know if I can set up a keyer to my ic 7300 or
if I can set it up on a laptop to practice and learn. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance and 73Sent from my
If you have a radio turn the brake-in off. Then you can practice without
transmitting.
There are several cw reader apps, I like Morris expert.
Long Island cw let's you learn.
Have fun

I would agree that as hams we try to help out neighbors who are causing
interference to licensed stations, but in the end it is the
responsibility of the neighbor using a Part 15 device that is causing
the interference to find a remedy. I know it can be touchy when we want
to maintain good
Thanks Chris! I completely understand. I will at the least politely make
my neighbor aware of the interference. If there are options like better
power supply for the lights, filters, etc. will suggest those too. Any
recommendations are welcome! If the neighbor doesn't want to do anything
then
This is probably not the answer you want to hear, but I have heard of stories
like this and the answer has always been that the ham talks to the neighbor and
ends up purchasing an equally good product that serves the same purpose that
does not cause interference. Or… best case scenario, the ham

When I got the email there was a winmail.dat file attached. No jpg was
