On behalf of BVARC and FD organizers, I want to remind the members that
there will be hands-on training on Elecraft K3, N1MM and FT8 tomorrow
evening at the BVARC membership meeting at the Sugar Land Masonic Lodge, 421
Eldridge Road, Sugar Land. The meeting is open to all the clubs
participating in the Mega Field Day. There will be a follow up meeting in
June on additional training if needed. Here is the program for the training
sessions tomorrow.
6:45 pm -7:30 pm - K3 and N1MM by Curt WG5H and Nizar K0NM
Two K3/0 remotes will be set up with
computers and N1MM
One of the rigs will be for SSB and the
other for CW operation
These two rigs will be set up in the front
lobby. You will be able to make
QSOs in CW and SSB during the training.
8:00 pm - 8:45 pm - Live demonstration of FT8 operation by W5VOM Bill
Cordell
Bill will hook up remotely to his rig at the
Bay house and demonstrate the
Key features on how to operate FT8 during
Field Day.
There will additional training sessions next month at the June BVARC
meeting. Let the board members know what aspect of the training you would
like to see again.
