+1 from me for Xerces-C++. For Xerces-J and XML commons, i'd like them to be with SVN. One of the things, that I wish for Xerces-J SVN repos, is after making archives of trunk (and emptying it) and XSD 1.1 branch, move XSD 1.1 branch codebase to trunk and retire XSD 1.1 branch. After doing this,

This build (with make as indicated, plus -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX) is ok. However, after 'make install', there is a dangling libxerces-c.so symlink towards cygxerces-c-3-2.dll not installed (but present in build directory). Trying to use this installation fails with many many missing references
