Yes, you are right! The problem is that we cannot simply add
gnome/unity-settings-daemon as required component because it will force
installing almost all GNOME/Unity packages on other sessions (e.g. it can be
annoying for KUbuntu users).

Yes, the dock allows using multiple instances because maybe you want to
have multiple docks with different settings. But for that, you have to
force the dock loading the configuration from another directory by using
the '-d' option.

xfce4-session will satisfy the dependency and unity-settings-daemon will

I just applied your patch on BZR (rev 3122) ;-)

* I added preprocessor conditions to support both new and old versions

* I removed the modification of CMakeLists.txt files (not needed because Pango
is already

You can package it from the Themes manager of the dock (if you're still
using it) or by creating an archive of your theme (maybe in this
directory: ~/.config/cairo-dock/themes)
