Here is a link with a square dance using the forearm allemande at 30 seconds in. As a dancer and caller in both worlds, I prefer the contra allemande over the forearm allemande. It is easier ti give weight and I would suspect it is faster going 1-1/2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2Y-NdyZtKM
