I'm afraid you have to do it yourself for Linux.
After configure, edit include/config.h and add
SDO_DYNAMIC_BUFFER_ALLOCATION_SIZE and SDO_DYNAMIC_BUFFER_ALLOCATION
defines just like in win32/config.h
