I recently added a combo box to a non-compositing window. After some fiddling I got things working fine in Snow Leopard, but when I open the app in recent OS versions the text field portion draws shifted about three characters to the left of where it belongs when the control is not open for editing (i.e., the first few chars are clipped off).
Is there anything to be done about this? That is, is there some draw or bounds-setting event I can intercept and jigger the errant control part layout (or some other workaround I haven’t thought of)?
