I just tested it out with xampp 1.7.3 (php 5.3.1) - not the light
version and it is working here fine.
But I can remember that I found together with Gjergj some time ago with
xampp 1.7.2 strange behaviours as well with php 5.3.0. My suggestion
would be that you either change to the latest
