When making the cut, you want to cut along the sulcus to the perimeter of
the brain, correct?

Hi Marc,
Yes -- make sure your surface shape column is set to Folding and cut
along the fundus of the sulcus outward toward the perimeter of the
surface. Don't forget to terminate the cut by holding down the shift
key and clicking the left mouse button.
