I have downloaded (uncompress, untar ) the Tutorial 9 and I have tried to
follow the intructions to open the tif files of this tutorial. I have major
problem to open these files with Caret. They seem not to be identified by
this program. In the other hand, I can open these files

Another user ran into similar trouble last week. Evidently, Caret 5.1
doesn't support opening tif images, but it supports jpeg and some other
file formats.
