I should have probably added that I haven't tested the proposed solutions
yet. From what I've studied so far, I expected that commenting out just the
call to *removeCookie()* should work.

I am running apereo cas in a private network which means that it requires
https proxy to send requests to other services like CAS IDP server. I can
only find docs about proxy authentication. Is there any options to setup
https proxy for CAS requests?
