Thanks for the info; that's encouraging. I'll pass that on to the DBA and
we'll see how we go

Re: [cas-user] 3.5.2 Oracle DB compatibility

2021-01-26 Thread Noelette Stout
I'm not sure what behind the scenes monkeying may have been done with the
CAS version by the vendor, but... We're currently using Luminis CAS which
is version 3.5.2. We recently migrated our Luminis database (which includes
the CAS services) from 12 to 19c, and haven't had any issues with CAS at
all. We're also in the process of dumping the Luminis CAS and moving to
Apereo CAS 6.3.

regards,
Noelette

2021-01-24 Thread Kylie L
Thanks, I am aware. The powers-that-be won't approve an upgrade (they've
fired everyone who knew how), so it's a question of whether we can at least
upgrade the DB, or just have to wear the risk of staying on Oracle 12 for
however long it takes to migrate the last few apps off so we can decomm it.

If no-one can answer, we'll just have to try it first in Dev and hope it
doesn't break anything too badly to repair.

Maybe? That version was released nearly 7 years ago and isn't supported. I
would suggest moving to CAS 6.3.

Will CAS 3.5.2 work with an Oracle 19c or 18c database?

Thanks
