I'm not sure what behind the scenes monkeying may have been done with the CAS version by the vendor, but... We're currently using Luminis CAS which is version 3.5.2. We recently migrated our Luminis database (which includes the CAS services) from 12 to 19c, and haven't had any issues with CAS

Thanks, I am aware. The powers-that-be won't approve an upgrade (they've fired everyone who knew how), so it's a question of whether we can at least upgrade the DB, or just have to wear the risk of staying on Oracle 12 for however long it takes to migrate the last few apps off so we can decomm
