Hi everyone, Thanks for the replies! To clarify a little more, our system is now on the summit of Mauna Kea so physically checking jumpers and changing JTAG configurations may be difficult due to the time difference (we're working remotely from Cambridge at the moment). Jason, I did however make

Hi. We just finished getting an ibob up and running from the prom, and we saw a few strange things that might be related: 1) We had to cycle the power to get the design to load into the FPGA, even when we checked the right boxes. This is unusual, but not unheard of. 2) We couldn't even get it

If you're having issues with the parallel cable in Linux, the USB JTAG cable DLC9G Platform Cable USB works fine in Linux. Impact should not return success unless the transfer really was successful. Apparently there's a CRC that is performed to confirm this. Jason On 28 Jan 2009, at

if it works with one ibob board (no chaining), i suggest buying (or asking xilinx to donate) four USB download cables. dan Rurik Primiani wrote: Hi everyone, Thanks for the replies! To clarify a little more, our system is now on the summit of Mauna Kea so physically checking jumpers and

The KAT guys were complaining of a similar behaviour, but I can't say I've ever experienced this myself and have been unable to reproduce it. Is your problem repeatable? Have you enabled the Load FPGA option in Impact? Also check the MODE jumper settings on your IBOB. It shouldn't affect

Hi Rurik, In the case of power-cycling and reprogramming not bringing back the port, how do you regain communication? Repeated power-cycles? During one of the hangs, have you tried connecting an independent computer/serial port to the device to exclude a linux problem? We have *loads* of

Hi everyone, We've been experiencing issues with hanging serial ports when reprogramming our iBob's over JTAG. Our setup at the moment is a linux control computer with an 8-port serial-PCI card with two iBob's attached and four iBob's total on a JTAG chain (the first two being the serial-linked
