From Larue's and Jackie's survey this morning:
Lots of waterfowl everywhere, including almost 6000 Northern Pintail at
Puddler and Knox-Marsellus marshes, all the expected dabblers, still very
few diving ducks, 4500 Snow Geese at Knox-Marsellus (quite a lot more than
last week!), 9 Trumpeter Swans
Just an update on some things around Montezuma this afternoon. A mature Bald
Eagle and Imm. Peregrine Falcon were harassing the dunlin, ducks geese at the
visitor's center. A young Brant at Larue's Lagoon (faint trace of a white
collar) was in with other C. geese and random ducks (Life Bird,
Early this evening, Susie I saw a WILSON'S SNIPE fly in front of our car on
Boiceville Rd., Town of Caroline. It apparently was looking for a former
wetland there which has recently been covered over by a cancerous housing
development. Sad.

Well THAT was a surprise. A male RWB at my feeders this morning. The
first one I've seen since they left in August.
Also a lovely pair of Golden Crowned Kinglets when out walking our land
yesterday.
