On November 1st, Ann Mitchell, Gary Kohlenberg, and I saw at Treman Marina what looked like the same bird you photographed today at Stewart Park. It was the first time I had seen such a hybrid in several months, and I'd been thinking maybe the resident hybrid at Stewart Park for several years had d
We have had a pair of Evening Grosbeaks visiting our feeders irregularly
throughout the weekend. Nice to have them in the yard again, hopefully they
will be joined by more irruptive varieties as the season progresses.

As Hope mentioned, Jessie and I found a juvenile Sabine's Gull while

The calls came from the spruces near the intersection of Salt and Dressler road
on the Salt Rd side fairly deep in. The call notes were slow and I don't
believe the
bird was in flight as it did not seem to move. Could not find this guy and it
called
infrequently for about 5-10 minutes or so.

which type). Single call note. Repeated often. Much slower than white winged .
Also heard at least one (probably more)white winged crossbills flyby with their
more mechanical like calls repeated rapidly.

I did some walking and feeder checking today in Summerhill. There was lots if

profile under the trees.
