Yes, there are birds in the 'middle of nowhere', sometimse also referred to as
the west side of 'the lake'. True, this is a bit out of the Cayuga Lake Basin,
but as someone who lives in the western part of the Basin, it feels
underbirded. Thanks to Tim and others who bird on the west side, or
We also had Redpolls at our feeder today, five of them, one a Hoary Redpoll.

And still there at noon. I was extremely lucky as it was the first bird I saw
as I drove up and noticed a group of people looking up in a tree!

On way to Sampson St park, I tripped over a farm field with at least 10,000
snow geese. Intersection on Leader and Watts rd. Didn't scan long enough to see
Ross's, interesting to see variety of Blue morphs.

Hi all,
There is currently what appears to be a CACKLING GOOSE (small, rounded
head; short, almost stubby bill, smaller than all the CANG) swimming around
near the small island in the front pond at the Lab of Ornithology.
