On Wednesday afternoon, about 4000 gulls were in the area. These
included several large flocks of Ring-billed Gulls in the park, and
others scattered on the lake. Highlights were 13 BRANT (plus one
deceased) and an adult non-breeding LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL. The

Not chaseable, but I was excited to spot a Short-eared Owl flying quite
high over Stewart Ave this afternoon. Ben Barkley and I watched it lazily
float north into the distance for a good 5+ minutes.

There is a huge flock of mostly Grackles, plus Red winged Blabkbirds and a few
Rusty BBs at Sapsucker woods right now. 8 am.
Currently just south of the main entrance to the Lab of O. Quite impressive !
