Lots of Caspian Terns squawking as they flew around the spit area at Myers Park this am. I was in a blind at a distance down the creek, so couldn't see well, but at least once I thought I could discern a Caspian fledgling. Also, an interesting occurrence as I waited for Mrs. Kingfisher to show

On Thursday 6 Aug I went with Ann Mitchell Dave Nicosia to Knox-Marsellus and Pudder to scout for the shorebird trip tomorrow which he will lead (meet 8am at Montezuma NWR visitor center or 820am at East Rd overlook). Among at least 13 species of shorebirds we saw a single adult non-breeding
