With only one month left in the year, the birding prospects are a bit slimmer
than they were for most of the fall—but there are still some

mile west of the Burns Road entrance.
Also, possibly of interest from Monday last, we were surprised to see both a
belted kingfisher and a great blue heron fishing on the reservoir behind
