Thanks all for responding with suggestions for the ID of a shorebird observed
yesterday at Myers. My friend tells me that Purple Sandpiper looks to be the
most likely. I haven’t seen any reports of one down this way this year, but
keep your eyes open - it’s not impossible.

The CBC course, Spring Ornithology with Steve Kress, is a lecture course,
but membership to Cayuga Bird Club is included with course registration. At
this point, the CBC is still uncertain when its field trips will resume,
but when that happens, Spring Ornithology course participants
