This morning in the middle of a downtown snow squall a swarm of birds descended on my ornamental crab apple. There were about 40 CEDAR WAXWINGS, 3 ROBINS and 4 STARLINGS. They zoomed around for several minutes before being scared off by a passing snowplow. Very exciting. Bob --

All, I noticed some bird migration echoes in the lower Mississippi valley and Texas early this morning. It's only early February. Birdcast shows this early migratory push. see https://birdcast.info/migration-tools/live-migration-maps/ The birds were moving north so they are not wintering birds
