Reuben Stoltzfus asked me to report that a "Robin-sized blue parrot" has been hanging around  in Ovid on Rte 96A  for a few days.  (The description is as given by the finder and not Reuben, who is out of town.)  The bird acts quite tame and flies between two properties there, where they have

[cayugabirds-l] New Migrants

The catbird came a few days ago. The Purple Finch pair came several weeks ago. Yesterday I had a female Towhee and the female Rose Breasted Grosbeak. This morning I had two male Orioles at the same time and also spotted the male Grosbeak. Later on I spotted a mature White Crown Sparrow.
