[cayugabirds-l] Injured screech owl in union springs

My neighbor has what she thinks is  an injured screech owl south of union springs. Cornell vet school advises she capture it and bring it there,  which is what she is currently planning to do probably within the hour. But if anyone has experience doing this it would be much appreciated. Thanks,
