An Osprey flew over me this morning as I drove down Middaugh rd in
Brooktondale just off Coddington road. It lifted off from a nest on a
telephone pole right across from a small pond near the bend in the road.
The nest looks precarious as I didn't notice a platform, but maybe there is.

For those interested, there is a male and female Surf Scoter asleep near the
middle of Dryden Lake right now. Generally associating with small group of
female Buffleheads, and single female Ruddy Duck. First reported this morning
by Kevin Cummings.
