for the nectar, so I really should put up my third feeder.
I still have three Pine Siskins holding their own in the presence of about 15
Goldfinches. I have observed at least two pairs of Purple Finches, primarily
taking Safflower seed.

At 5:45 PM today I watched a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird sit and partake of
fresh sugar-water from one of my Hummingbird feeders. The flying gems return!
I have had a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak since last Thursday(5/21), usually
dining on Safflower seeds. I have yet to hear or see a male
