Cayugabirders, A very large flock of swallows and swifts was feeding over Cayuga Lake out from Stewart and East Shore Parks in Ithaca this morning just before 11 AM in the heavy rain. Though all local species were represented (2 Cliff Swallow, 1 Purple Martin included), particularly interesting were the prodigious numbers of Chimney Swifts and Bank Swallows. The Laughing Gull continued on the white lighthouse jetty.
