Hi all,
Today I was home all day and it seems there were still a number of migrants
moving around. The cloudy, drizzly morning was perfect for birding around the
house on Hunt Hill Rdl, in Dryden. The morning started with BLACKPOLL WARBLER,
CANADA WARBLER, BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, YELLOW WARBLER and MAGNOLIA WARBLER in a
spread-out group. Throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon I saw or
heard COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, REDSTART, BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBER,
YELLOW=THROATED VIREO and a BLACK BILLED CUCKOO, which flew into a deciduous
tree and afforded a wonderful look at this cool bird. Between 8 am and 7 pm I
tallied 41 species, most of them seen or heard on our 5 acre property (as
opposed to heard singing from a neighboring property). In addition, further up
Hunt Hill Rd. are singing PRAIRIE WARBLER, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, VEERY and BROWN
THRASHER. It was a very birdy day!

Below is the eBIRD list I submitted.
