There were two Bonaparte’s Gulls on a mini-ice berg off the west end of Stewart Park around 8:30 this morning. As I was watching, they were forced off by a Herring Gull and flew to the north.
While walking down Tioga Street (X corner of Courth St) around 10:00 I heard the calls of a Merlin. The bird was in the air, circling. And our Phoebe has finally returned - singing right now outside my window.
