Currently looking at 2 Sandhill Cranes at the Montezuma Audubon Center. One of our volunteers, Richard, spotted them in the behind the building on the berm between the two marshes. I have been eagerly looking and waiting to see them show up and here they are 😊 I can’t say how long they’ll hang out here specifically, but I’d say the sooner you can come (today) the better chance you have. The Montezuma Audubon Center building is only open Tues-Sat, 10-4. The property is owned by NYSDEC, so even if the building is closed, you are welcome to enjoy the trails sunrise to sunset.
