Off former Union Springs Castelli's Marina I saw our 1st C. LOON for this
spring. I also saw the BALD EAGLE nest in a tall tree west of Great Gully Rd.
along the lake shore. Saw no bird in that nest but believe an eagle was in a
tree farther south near what appears to be another nest. Not certain about
either. There is no other place that I know of to see the nest other than
either side of the white farm house across from the state marker. I do not
recommend driving on the private roads.

"Our" ospreys on No. One Rd. have added a fair pile of sticks on their platform
despite the wind. I saw them both on Mon. really hunkered down, faces to the
west wind, looking miserable & cold.

Saw my 1st song sparrow this a.m.. Female N. FLICKER was at the suet again.
Nice to see the kestral near Half Acre.
