Hi all,
I spent an hour in the Hawthorn Orchard today. It was very quiet except for a 
few species.
South-end had a few Nashville Warblers and  a Meadowlark singing. Somewhere in 
the middle of the orchard there was a new arrival - Common Yellowthroat and 
then there were three Rose-breasted Grosbeaks singing one male was looking like 
a female but much paler, I think he was a male and I don't know if the adult 
females also sing.

Catbirds are exceptionally quiet except for some gurgling sounds.  Why? Are 
they females we are seeing and males have not arrived yet or they are just 
quiet because they still do not have hormonal rush?
