This afternoon I studied a first cycle ICELAND GULL on the red lighthouse jetty. I was at 829 Taughannock blvd (89) so the gulls were in excellent sunlight although quite distant. It is very late for this species, and although all the gulls are worn and bleached this time of year, the Iceland was in typical but worn plumage with white wingtips and black bill. There were 2 CASPIAN TERNS and 7 BONAPARTES GULLS there as well.
Otherwise a pretty slow weekend with highlights being a flyover OSPREY and first of year GRAY CATBIRDS around my neighborhood.
