This is just a quick note to let everyone know that the area off Railroad Rd. in Savannah (North of Montezuma) is having a youth hunt on Saturday morning (10/8). This is being coordinated through the Audubon Center (MAC), so you may want to plan to bird elsewhere. An additional note; the Esker Brook Trail will be closing to the general public on Nov 1st for the hunting season. As of Friday evening, the main highlights off Railroad Rd include the Swan family (trumpeters?) a few Northern Harriers, wide variety of ducks, and a couple Imm. BC Night-herons near the dike entrance between the 2 pools.
