There is some discussion about the dark lower bill, more characteristic of
Western wood-peewee, as seen in the photo Ken shared. But “all about birds”
notes that juveniles can have all dark bills. Read especially the last line,
below.
“Eastern Wood-Pewees are olive-gray birds with dark wings,
Ken Rosenberg reports a "Wood pewee right now at Myers Point. Looks good for
Western," "On road to Lagoda. Red house w feeders."
Bird has nearly all dark bill.
