Thank you to all who sent news about hummer sightings. Last yr., I think it was, someone reported a very late hummer in early Oct.. With such a crazy summer it seems that some birds left early. I haven't seen a swallow for several wks. & NONE before that, lined up by the hundreds on power lines as in all the yrs. of my memory.
I especially want to thank Anne Clark for sending the very current information about studies of, & results found, for coloration of Monarch butterfly wings. Let me say that I appreciate the fact that so many of you kindly take the time to respond to many of us who ask, what seems to certain of us, very stupid questions.
