Found by Kevin McGowan an hour ago, two adult ROSS'S GEESE were still
present a few minutes ago in a flock of a little over 250 Snow Geese mixed
in with several thousand Canada Geese in a cornfield on the north side of
Ferguson Road just east of the intersection with Irish Settlement Road. The
two
Three are still at Knox Marsellus.

Five white ROSS'S GEESE just landed on Knox-Marsellus at Montezuma. The
only Snow Goose present is a single Blue. Tundra Swans are around as well,
but no sign of avocets or godwit.

Many thousands of Snow Geese just passed low over our house on Whitted
Rd (Snyder Hill area) headed south. I was able to pick out at least
two candidates for Ross's Goose. Smaller body, short neck, shorter
thinner wings. Where was Ken Rosenberg when I needed him?!

Actually, at 9:54, he was still sleeping, if you can believe that. But
later in the day he was sorting through geese as well -- at Stewart Park in
preparation for tomorrow's CBC. Not much to be found, and very low numbers and
diversity of waterfowl -- not boding too well for tomorrow. The
I eventually picked out at least 3 different ROSS'S GEESE with just over 600
Snow Geese in the Game Farm field, but a few minutes ago most of them took
off towards the lake and I don't see any Ross's amongst the 150 remaining
Snows.
