Hi All,
Last night, Tim Lenz, Bob McGuire, and I saw the RUFF that has been seen in the
Montezuma area since Dave Nutter discovered it on Saturday, July 8. Like Dave,
we saw the bird briefly at dusk at Eaton Marsh on the Montezuma NWR auto-loop.
We had looked for the bird here and at Kips
David Wheeler reports that the RUFF reported yesterday from Montezuma NWR is
still present today around noon. It is a molting adult male and is being seen
at Puddler's Marsh from Towpath Rd.
If I am correct, Puddler's Marsh is the name for the impoundment beyond the
dike which is located

I just got a call from Gerard Phillips, who stopped at Montezuma on his way
back home to Canada. He was the one who relocated the Ruff during the
Montezuma Muckrace on Saturday evening.well, he's done it again! The RUFF is
present again in the same general area as seen from the East Road overlook
