Yale Farm Rd. in Varick/Romulus (east of junction with Rt. 96a) continues to be a good bet for SNOWY OWLS. On Monday around sunset, the heavy streaked owl was in the middle of the farm field east of the McGrane Rd. intersection (google tells me this is in Romulus). Being so dark overall, the bird was quite conspicuous on the snow (it even appears to be wearing a wool cap!).
This morning around 8am, an almost all-white individual was on a power line right on Yale Farm Rd. about 1/4 mile east of 96a.
