For a few days at my jelly feeders, I’ve seen a stunning male Baltimore oriole. It’s white wing bars are wider than usual, so lots of white on its back. Its orange color is almost reddish orange, it’s so intense. And it has a fairly sizable pointed orange “widows peak” on its forehead where usually it is just black on males. However, even with this bright regalia, it is subservient to the normal oriole male at the jelly feeder and has to wait it’s turn.
