All, 

The cold, snowy conditions and northerly winds have slowed
down many of the more "hardy"migrants that winter in the southern U.S. It still 
looks 
like this weekend and  early next week will have mainly northerly winds 
so birds will continue their trickle northward. BUT It looks like from 
later next week into the week after a real mild spell will predominate with
southwest winds. This could set up a BIG push of  migrants northward that 
have been waiting patiently to head farther north...
