It was birdy out there this morning, by October standards. Lots of Ruby-crowned Kinglets and White-throated Sparrows, smaller numbers of Blue-headed Vireos and Golden-crowned Kinglets, one Winter Wren. I also had a small influx of warblers this morning, with a NORTHERN PARULA at the "Frog Barn" (91 Sapsucker Woods Road), also 1 each of Magnolia and Nashville, also in Sapsucker Woods.
There were Pine Siskins at several locations, including the feeders at the Lab of Ornithology. Would be a good day to go out and check your favorite local patch. Good birding, tss -- Thomas S.
