Bob McGuire just called again (12:45 PM). He has found five AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVERS just south of the intersection of Routes 31 and 89 in the
Savannah Mucklands, close to the road in a newly-harvested potato field.

Thanks Mark and Jay for posting after my phone calls. There were in total 7
AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS in the newly-harvested potato fields along Rt 31 in the
Mucklands. Five of them were adults in various stages of molt and two were
freshly-minted juveniles. They were between 100 and 200 feet
An adult BALD EAGLE just glided high over the Lab of Ornithology
(6:20 PM), heading south - I'm sure there was a lot of migration out
there today that I missed.
