Great. Must have been an awesome sight.

One other highlight of Ann’s and my trip around the lake today was a flock of

Road headed NW. We scoped K/M Marsh and found nothing. We then drove to
Armitage, and there they all (?) were! Not too far from the road and great
contrast - gray bodies against green field.

[cayugabirds-l] N Goshawk, Cattle Egrets

2016-11-27 Thread M Miller
Had a report of a juvenile N. Goshawk on rte 96 near Yellow Tavern Rd
(Romulus/Fayette). The wildlife drive is still open at Montezuma, with large
numbers of ducks (12+ species). Tundra Swans also being very vocal. Had at
least 2 Cattle Egrets on East Tyre Rd (between Lay Rd & rte 89) in a horse
pasture on east side of road. Lots of red-tails around and a couple of
rough-legged hawks (as well as Bald Eagles).

[cayugabirds-l] Adult Peregrine in Watkins Glen

2016-11-27 Thread John and Sue Gregoire
At 1100 we had a beautiful adult Peregrine (tundrius) hunting pigeons in the
village. Great looks as it perched atop the church spire on 4th St near Tobey's
Donuts.
