[cayugabirds-l] Short-eared owl?

Should have reported this earlier but on 10/23 at around 6:30pm I saw a bird consistent with SHORT-EARED OWL on Townsendville Rd. near Fox Rd. in Lodi, an area where they are seen in winter. It was late dusk so I couldn't see coloration but it was the right size, lithe and bulky. I think worth
