Travel is fatal to prejuidice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our
people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of
men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the
earth all one's lifetime

[cayugabirds-l] Mt. Pleasant: ruffies

2010-11-20 Thread Susan Fast
I spent a couple hours on Mt. Pleasant mid-day (11/20) waiting for eagles,
to no avail. But I did have 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS sail by-one light morph,
and one dark.

Also 2 flocks of AMER PIPITS, totaling 27 birds.

[cayugabirds-l] Hybrid Goose, Bat, Lesser Black-backed Gull

2010-11-20 Thread Tim Lenz
Hi,

This afternoon at Stewart Park there was an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
roosting on the red jetty. A hybrid SNOWXCANADA goose was offshore and a
BAT was flying around the inlet. The bat later went to roost against the
shingles of the boathouse.
