It's amazing to watch the fight patterns and the way it must confuse the
falcon.

The Cayuga Bird Club is pleased to welcome Kevin McGowan as guest speaker
at our monthly meeting on Monday, March 14 at 7:15 pm at the Cornell Lab
of Ornithology. Kevin will be presenting "The Mariana Crow - endangered
in Paradise". The Mariana Crow is one of the most endangered birds in the
world
Thanks to all for the replies! If this non-rain event holds we plan to go up
tomorrow. Yesterday evening we had large flocks of Snow Geese flying very low
over
our place. They eventually settled into a field next to Campbell's just up the
road.

Saw/heard my first killdeer of the year at the corner of 366 and Game Farm.
It was in the field southwest of the intersection. It's feeling more and
more like spring!

Always different--today mostly Ring-necked Ducks right off the dock. Those
little male Buffleheads can really run across the water when provoked by each
other. Right after I filed this report a couple dozen Redheads flew in from
the north.

I have received several packages from China with some very nice bird
stamps. If anyone collects these please let me know and I will bring
them to the next meeting. They are too nice to throw away.
Thanks

Hi all,
There is one FIELD SPARROW and one SONG SPARROW under the feeders at the north
side of the Lab of Ornithology this afternoon. Also, lots of REDWINGED
BLACKBIRDS at the feeding garden feeders on the south side of the building.
