Yesterday my wife Laurie heard a Northern Bobwhite call twice in "downtown" Newfield, in the backyard of the former church (now the Electric Wilburland recording studio) near the north end of the covered bridge.  Today I went and heard it there, too, but I also heard it more frequently from the vicinity (inside?) of a chicken coop across the street (also near the north end of the bridge).  I suspect it's a domestic free-range bird.  I did not see the bird nor talk to the property owners.  It's fun to hear even if it doesn't count as wild.
