I apologize for not reporting this at the time. This Loon has been on Beebe Lake since as early as July 17 when I saw him around 6AM. And now that I think of it, it is in an odd combination of plumages, with a black head and neck, as in breeding, but gray back. At least that is how I saw him th

I just walked by Beebe Lake, and the loon, looking a bit bedraggled, was actively diving. It was located between the island and the northern shore of beebe lake. ( I spotted it at about 9:55am). I couldn't stay and watch, as I had to get back to work. -Liisa Liisa Mobley  Electronic Resourc
